What are Best Practice Groups? Simply put, they are monthly "lunchtime" conversations with colleagues and peers across the membership network. Subject matter experts are occasionally brought in for a town hall format while other sessions feature groups of 5-7 members in breakout rooms discussing a hot topic or area of interest. Best Practice Groups meet every month on the third Wednesday during the "lunch hour" from noon to 12pm Eastern. Occasional adjustments to the schedule will be notified by event details, as well as email and text notifications.

EVENT OVERVIEW

The hot topic on CFA Hotline and Discussion Groups over the last six months has consistently been that of software. Packages and systems are available for estimating, layout and planning, scheduling, and much more. Many companies have in-house systems or have adapted commercial products to a customized use. New software solutions, such as Retti, Inc. featured at CFACON25 are beginning to open new routes to efficient and effective management.

This month's Best Practice Groups will begin with a town hall environment talking about software supported through CFA membership. CrewTracks, GDB, Retti and more will be described with brief information about their specialties. Additionally, customized products that are being explored will be introduced. The second half of the schedule will be breakout groups discussing software needs, challenges and wishes. Collaborate with your peers on ways your company has navigated the necessary advancement of software systems, resisted the evolution to rely more on software solutions, and stumbled through the cumbersome process.  What has it taught you about your company?
