Individuals receiving benefits from a CFA member company can register to attend this event with no base fee. All participation in events will result in an invoice after the event averaged by the attendees and participation type.
Individuals not presently serving a CFA member company can register to attend for a participation fee as shown and will have all participation fees included in that fee.
Registration for this event requires approval by CFA Staff. You will receive confirmation once that has been completed.

The beautiful, Hotel Marcel is an iconic Brutalist concrete building designed by Marcel Breuer and known as the Pirelli Building for many years before going vacant. It features a top floor where we'll see polished concrete floor, concrete supports and then go into the stair wells- it's all board form exposed concrete walls. Our tour will (hopefully) be guided by either a knowledgeable hotel manager with details or an area history expert.

Featuring the renown New Haven style pizza, we will walk or ride share to a place ready to treat you to a special favorite of the local members. Frank's Pepes Pizzeria is our target so stay tuned for an update.

Noah's at 63rd is the site of a former Project of the Year award winner constructed by Talpey Construction. It's unique location and cascading patio feature among the most creative techniques for installing and anchoring concrete to the water's edge.

7:30 am Board of Directors Meeting @ Hotel
The fall meeting of the CFA Board of Directors will take place on the final morning with departure shortly thereafter. For those in attendance, a breakfast will be catered. Guests are welcome. The agenda will feature discussion of the CFA Marketing Strategies, an annual Sponsorship-Package and discussions on CFA visioning by the executive teams.
Building on the momentum gained through four Executive Retreats in Philadelphia, Oklahoma City, Baltimore, Omaha and Salt Lake City, this event establishes a time for members to gather with the Board of Directors in casual networking and exploring business with like-minded professionals. It brings together the meeting strength and visioning process for the Association along with regional exploration of member businesses and slices of the context of the area. Anticipated events include:
Connecticut is one of the centers for aggressive growth of CFA membership now taking place throughout New England. Home to CFA Board member, Russ Talpey, and the exciting camera work of Nate Salter of Mint Drone Shots, the coastal region of Connecticut east of New Haven affords a great perspective on the innovative ways cast-in-place concrete is being refined in all markets.
Hotel Marcel New Haven – Hilton Tapestry Collection
Opened in 2022, Hotel Marcel offers a modern, distinctive setting with a rich history. Originally built as the headquarters of the American Concrete Company, the building is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places—an aspect that may be of interest to the group.
Transportation to the event location, including the hotel, is the responsibility of each individual party. CFA will arrange group transportation for Wednesday afternoon through Thursday evening.
