This is part 6 of a fifteen video series taught by Brent Anderson, PE, one of the most reputable design and construction engineers in the foundation industry. The course has been made available to members of the Concrete Foundations Association and was most recently captured during Foundations Academy in the winter of 2021.
Footing Reinforcing Requirements focuses specifically on the reinforcement detailing of common or typical residential concrete footings. When required due to seismic zone or ground bearing pressure resulting in larger footing widths, reinforcement is a condition that needs consideration by both designer and contractor.
